How Will Using AMP Increase Your Bottom Line?

Every Website Needs AMP!

Even if they've already got a beautiful, fully functioning website, chances are incredibly high that their website is not as FAST as Google wants it to be for the best ranking.

So, all you have to do is a bit of research before going in to meet whoever makes exectuive decisions to determine the current website's page load speed.

If it takes over 3.5 seconds, the website needs AMPing up!

According to think with Google, the average page load speed in 2018 was approximately 22 seconds.

Let that sink in... 22 seconds!

If you have a choice between waiting 1.5 seconds for a page to load or 22 seconds, which are you more likely to visit?

That's what Google thinks too. In fact, in July 2018, they rolled out an algorythm that gave NEGATIVE RANKING to those pages that load slowly. And while they have not yet (though I suspect this too will change in the very near future) given AMPed pages a ranking BOOST, if the competition is being hit negatively, that is in a way a sort-of increase for you (assuming your pages are AMPed) right?

And that was in 2018! Things have only gotten slower!

To me, it's a no brainer.

According to W3 Techs, WordPress is dominating the Content Management System market.

And with Content Marketing considered to be one of the most important factors in high search rankings by just about every digital marketing expert available (a la, Neil Patel, Rand Fishking, Brian Dean), WordPress isn't likely to lose any ground in this arena any time soon.

That's why I'm building fully AMPed WordPress Templates to help streamline the build process, all while maintaining AMP validation!

Every Website Needs AMP!

The AMP Project was first launched by Google in October 2015 with several well known publishers and technologies (Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, ...) on board from its inception.

AMP pages are incredibly fast because they are all built on the same AMP framework consisting of only 3 components: AMP HTML, AMP JavaScript, and AMP cache - this is where Google really comes in to play!

Because an AMPed page can only validate if it is built following Google's rather strict no-external-sheets policy and NO JavaScript not built-in to AMP, Google knows that the page will be built using their own best-practice policies!

As a reward for building within the constraints of AMP, not only do those pages load very fast, Google even caches all indexed AMP valid pages and serves the cahced version if discovered by a mobile searcher.

This means... Google serves the initial AMPed page from their own server... in short, the load time is virtually instantaneous! Think, by the time you've taken your finger off the link in the search page result, it has pretty much already loaded!

Google loves Google and if you want to be found, demonstrating your own love for Google is probably kind of a good idea.

While web developers able to build out a pre-built WordPress theme are a dime a dozen these days, few are experienced enough to work within the code.

But few web developers have even the slightest idea what AMP is or how to make it work. If you're in that stage of your development career, take heart, it gets easier, and until you've gotten the hang of AMP, perhaps one or more of my templates will help you take the first step.

Even better, after you've used one of my templates, try reverse engeneering it to teach yourself a bit more about how YOU can do what I've done, but put your own spin on it.

Meet The Developer

Daniel Bisett

In 1997, Daniel Bisett got his first paying job as working as a web designer.

Back then, images and colors had only JUST entered the world wide web of possiblities!

In 2008, Daniel and his wife moved to Texas where he took on a Web Design teaching position at a small high school in rural Wimberley, Texas.

He used to tell his students that if he were any good at web design, he wouldn't be teaching them, he'd be doing it professionally.

Well, after 8 years of teaching Web Design (as well as Game Design and Graphic Design), Daniel's skills had finally been honed.

True to his word, he struck off on his own and built a small web development and digital marketing agency called the Austintatious Design Co.

Keeping up with all of the latest trends, Daniel soon realized that Google's AMP project was something more than a fashnionable trend and showed promise to turn into one of the fastest growing web design methods ever.

Realizing the potential that AMP had to offer, Daniel couldn't sit still, so he built this course to help teach other hobbiest cum freelancepreneurs out there how to harness the power of AMP and scale their opportunities to the next level and beyond!

Daniel has since had two of his sites added to the AMP for WordPress plugin. One, his own agency website, was added to a group of only 4 other sites. The other, a client's website - Hill Country Land Improvement, was added to a the showcase for websites using the Native (now referred to as Standard) version of the plugin. It is one of only 64 other websites in the showcase.

Of the 500k+ active installations of the plugin, fewer than 80 sites are ccurrently showcased and two of them are Daniel's
